Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:• Prepares intermediate to advanced level returns and reviews basic tax returns• Possesses advanced technical knowledge of accounting standards and reporting standards in researching, completing and reviewing technical areas• Addresses questions on technical accounting matters from team members and upper level client management• Performs a detailed review of team’s workflow and monitors tasks to ensure they are assigned and completed on a timely basis• Manages multiple assignments inside an engagement• Communicates with Partner, Manager and/or Supervising Senior on work status and client issues that arise• Advanced knowledge of applicable accounting software (e.g. ProSystem Engagement, Tax, etc.)• Participates in planning and execution of client engagement in collaboration with the Manager and/or Partner on the job• Identifies opportunities to leverage staff including designing staffing structure of engagement• Leads small to medium sized assignments with finalized document and report requiring minimal change upon review• Trains and mentors lower level staff• Takes a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiativesMinimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree with a preferred field in Accounting• 4+ years of relevant work and industry experience• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong interpersonal skills• Works independently and also works well with othersPreferred Qualifications• CPA License or on track to obtain• Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting• Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365Equal Opportunity EmployerMarcum LLP is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Marcum LLP is an Equal Opportunity EmployerMarcum LLP does not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, national origin, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under the law.Are you a search or recruiting firm interested in becoming a preferred recruitment agency?
