TechTarget is seeking a driven, passionate and collaborative team member ready to work with a motivated team supporting post-sales client success, industry analysts, and other key departments supporting customer success. In this high-profile role, the Market Insights Associate will focus on conducting market research, pulling, analyzing and interpreting data and will work closely with their manager to support running clients and our high priority products. They will help drive the overall success of our Market Development function by helping customers understand tech buyer needs and motivators.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support market research, specifically researching and understanding market landscape, vendors, drivers, features, workloads and buyer personas for specific technology segments
• Perform data cutting, analysis and data visualization for analyst-driven field research
• Design a variety of highly engaging PowerPoint visuals that represent market insight and data from 1st and 3rd party sources
• Support of high-profile products including but not limited to taxonomy & segment maintenance, tech definition identification, persona research, etc.
• Update survey deliverables based off of market research
• Support post-sale questions around market urgency, insights motivating purchases in the market
• Analyze market trends and create reasons to engage for sales
• Provide market commentary/data for positioning & upsell strategy
• Work collaboratively across departs with analysts, customer success, sales enablement and content marketing

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Experience/knowledge/interest of technology industry a must
• 1-2 years of experience in a research environment
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proven evidence of strong analytical skill
• Process oriented
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel (working with formulas, pivot tables, and calculations)
• Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint (creating data visualizations, layout and formatting)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills
• Proactive self-starter with a strong ability to work independently
• Adherence to data quality and research standards
