The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a passionate, performance-driven marketing manager to join our growing Marketing & Community team at Founders Forum Group. As FF Group expands its offering to support more entrepreneurs at every stage of their journeys, we are looking for a data-driven marketer to collaborate closely with our content, community and partnership teams to optimise our digital marketing practice and support strategic brand development projects across the group.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Since 2019, Founders Forum has partnered with Informa Tech to celebrate the strength and diversity of UK tech through London Tech Week. The joint venture allows London Tech Week to enrich its impact and expand its reach with sector-specific and diversity-driven communities and events.

Fuelled by the connections and ideas forged at our flagship events, Founders Forum businesses support the needs of today’s founders via networking, education, professional services, investment and charitable giving.


The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll work closely with FF Group’s Editor, partnerships and community teams to:

Strategy & Planning:

  • Support the development of the FF Group marketing strategy and own the marketing calendar for Founders Forum Group events and businesses
  • Support on go-to-market strategies for new business ventures within FF Group

Brand:

  • Propel the evolution of the FF Group brand and website, managing our creative agency partners day-to-day, to deliver brand assets and web content

Website:

  • Continually update the FF Group website, collaborating closely with our Editor to keep blog and newsroom content up-to-date, and rolling out perennial website updates via our CMS

Social Media:

  • Own the execution of FF Group’s social media strategy, devising and delivering against a high-impact content calendar that leverages FF Group’s key social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram) to drive community awareness of new FF events and businesses whilst growing our audiences across platforms

Email Marketing:

  • Work closely with FF Group’s Editor to compile and distribute the fortnightly Founders News e-newsletter
  • Work closely with FF Group’s community team to develop and compile content for email touchpoints
  • Develop and own nurture campaigns for existing and prospective community members
  • Work closely with design and web development teams to build event registration environments for flagship forums

PR / Communications:

  • Help develop and deploy key messaging for FF Group updates, drafting proactive and reactive communications and implementing feedback from key stakeholders to finalise joint and group-level messaging
  • Support pitching media and compile earned media coverage reports

Events:

  • Work closely with FF Group’s partnerships team and our partners to ensure co-branded marketing materials are developed in alignment with FF brand guidelines and distributed on-time, according to brief
  • Work closely with events team to deliver cohesive brand experience on-site at FF events
  • Work closely with photographers and videographers to capture content across FF events

Reporting:

  • Compile insights from Google Analytics, Salesforce, Pardot and Meta Business Suite into a monthly marketing report, tracking progress against KPIs and OKRs and providing actionable insights


This is a role for you if…

  • You have at least 3 years of marketing experience
  • You are a curious self-starter who begins by asking why – you take the time to understand the context of various projects before getting stuck in and driving serious results by connecting the dots and taking initiative
  • You are a clear and confident communicator, comfortable dealing with a number of stakeholders, internal and external, managing competing deadlines and remaining organised to deliver effectively and efficiently against our multi-channel marketing strategy
  • You have a proven track record delivering on marketing KPIs, growing audiences and ushering clients through various stages of the marketing funnel
  • You have an active interest in tech, startups and the entrepreneurial landscape
  • You understand the marketing funnel, evolving audience personas and client journeys
  • You have excellent time management skills and sharp attention to detail, with the ability to work flexibly and remain agile in the face of shifting projects and priorities
  • You are a seasoned social media marketer, with experience working across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube (TikTok and Vimeo not required but valued)
  • You have experience managing a website via a CMS such as WordPress or equivalent
  • You have an understanding of CRM and experience leveraging a CRM system to collect and leverage performance marketing data and audience insights to optimise community growth and engagement (Salesforce experience not required but a major asset)
  • You have robust email marketing experience and feel comfortable developing email marketing campaigns from ideation and content creation through to execution and reporting, using an email marketing platform such as Pardot, SendinBlue, MailChimp, or equivalent (Pardot experience not required but a major asset)
  • You have a strategic mindset and effectively deploy A/B testing to continuously optimise marketing output
  • You have experience feeding into strategic brand projects and have had exposure to brand-building from the ground up
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to succinctly summarise complex themes and topics
  • You have a startup mentality; you’re a team player, dedicated and hardworking
  • You have a can-do attitude, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives



Requirements

  • History of marketing KPI delivery
  • 3+ years of marketing experience
  • Right to work in the UK

Our Application Process:

Once you have submitted your CV and application, we aim to respond to you within two working weeks if we would like to take your application forward.

Our interview process includes 3-4 stages as standard. Someone who is accepted into the process and successful at each stage can expect the following:

  • A one-to-one interview with one of us to hear more about you. You can expect us to ask you about your CV and experience. This will be remote.
  • A task-based interview with two more of our team to understand how you approach problems. We will usually give you a task to complete remotely in advance, and the interview will be in person to give you a chance to see our HQ!
  • A final conversation with our CEO Carolyn Dawson and/or another senior member of the team.

Throughout the interview process, we would like to make sure you meet a mix of our team to get a good feel for what it’s like working at FF. As such, we might suggest additional informal conversations; this will depend on the candidate, experience and who’s best placed on our team to facilitate these conversations.
