Marketing Manager - Awareness

About the role:


We’re ISO a hungry and versatile marketer with some serious skills to help us make CompanyCam ubiquitous. In this role, you’ll develop marketing campaigns from ideation to implementation with a cross-functional team of creatives, ad specialists, sales reps, and content experts.


The brand awareness marketing manager will be responsible for initiatives and projects that primarily build—you guessed it—brand awareness. We’re talking multi-channel mass media marketing campaigns that fuel our retargeting audience, grow our social followings, and increase web traffic. Plus, you’ll help support our affiliate marketing program and get to run point on the strategy for some owned and operated events. You know, casual stuff. 


Most of our marketing magic happens in the digital sphere—emails, digital ads, podcasts—so some background in digital marketing is a must. That said, we’re always trying to diversify and test new platforms, and the right person for this role won’t be afraid to take big swings that help us scale into different channels. 


This role reports to the director of marketing management and leads a cross-functional team. While this won’t initially be a people-management role, there is the opportunity to grow the position into one. 


The CoCam marketing team is growing fast, so we’re looking for people who can think about long-term processes and come up with short-term solutions. If that sounds like something you could get into, read on.


What you'll do:


  • Lead a cross-functional team of representatives from other departments.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers who oversee other parts of our funnel.
  • Do research into our target audience.
  • Strategize new ways to get CompanyCam’s name out into the wild.


About you:


  • Have shared values, AKA a willingness to show upgrow up, and do good
  • Have some years in the experience bank—we’re talking about at least 4–6 years of real-life learning in a marketing role(s).
  • Have campaign and project management experience, including meeting deadlines and proving ROI. 
  • Be a creative, solutions-focused problem solver.
  • Have experience setting goals for a cross-functional team.
  • Have a knack for collaboration and facilitation. Playing well with others is key, and experience working cross-departmentally is a must. 
  • Have a current, permanent U.S. residence. Sorry, we're not hiring outside the U.S. at this time even if you’re willing to work U.S. hours.


It'd be nice if you have:


  • Previous experience in a marketing management role.
  • Experience with event and/or partnership marketing.
  • General contracting industry knowledge.
  • Familiarity with any and all of our most-used tools (Slack, Zoom, Google docs, Asana, and Marketo).
  • Locality—our marketing team is currently co-located in Lincoln, so if you can join us IRL in a post-pandemic world, all the better.
