SUMMARY:The primary focus of the Bond Account Executive is to provide technical support to Client Executives and to clients in maintaining Contract and Commercial Bond Accounts and Policies in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined by the Director of Surety.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Process paperwork for new and renewal business to include:• Expiration Lists• Applications• Riders and Consents of Surety• Indemnity Agreements• Preparation of surety bonds (bid, performance, payment, and various Commercial Surety bonds)• Invoices• Letters of Bondability• Perform account and premium reconciliation.• Coordinates underwriting requests with surety company and client• Assists in obtaining bond approvals and authorizations from insurance carrier• Maintain client files.• Image files into electronic file keeping system.• Document files with action items and their completed status.• Participate in Errors & Omission audits• Reviews client accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and contacts client on receivable collections;• Provides technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues;• Notifies brokers of pertinent information related to client retention;• Supports producer in developing new surety business for clients and prospects• Establish and maintain positive and effective working relations with other Associates and clients.REQUIREMENTS:• A bachelor’s degree is required, or a minimum of 2 – 5 years industry experience showing increasing responsibility directly related to the performance of the above duties• A good understanding of surety bond terminology, the general functions of a surety broker, and the various lines of surety bonds.• Demonstrated ability to successfully perform the duties of a surety associate if currently employed at MMA.• Possess and maintain a valid Insurance Solicitors License.• Willingness to pursue advanced surety designations and continuing education.• Proficiency with MS Office software (i.e., Word, Excel and Outlook).• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Possess advanced analytical, planning, organizational, and prioritization skills• Provide good customer service, including telephone and listening skills• Good ability and motivation to work independently, and also within a team environmentWe embrace a culture that celebrates and promotes the many backgrounds, heritages and perspectives of our colleagues and clients.
