Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Project Engineer, the Management Associate – Crushing Process Engineer will enter an 18 to 24 month formal training program to learn the fundamental and advanced process review of Martin Marietta’s crushing applications. Experiences will include traveling to multiple Martin Marietta locations and working with operations to obtain crusher feed and discharge gradation samples, crusher close side settings (CSS), & creating and modifying aggregate flow simulations, while comparing to collected field data. Other experiences include process review before & beyond the crushing stage, feed & discharge chute redesign suggestions, condition-based monitoring sensor setup & troubleshooting, & crusher field install engineering support.
Management Associate Responsibilities:
- Must be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated.
- Will take an active role in the company’s safety initiatives.
- Must be a self-motivated, strong work ethic individual that is willing to work with minimal supervision.
- Using Solidworks, Autodesk Advance Steel, and AutoCAD, will assist others with design and detailing requirements as needed.
- Using Aggflow, Bruno, Sandvik Plant Designer, Stonemont, and other aggregate process flow systems, evaluate and make recommendations on suggested improvements to increase plant profitability.
Qualifications and skills:.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management and a valid driver’s license.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills
- Solidworks or Autodesk Advance Steel Experience Required
- Ability to work in an office, shop, or plant environment where sitting, standing, kneeling, or bending for long periods of time may be required.
- Ability to wear PPE (Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, Hardhats, Earplugs, High-Viz Vest or Shirts, other as required)
- Overnight travel will be required: approximately 50%.
