Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software AG webMethods Administrator to manage the webMethods environment, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration: Design topology architecture, install and configure webMethods components (Integration Servers, API Management, Microservice Runtime, Docker, Kubernetes).
- User & Security Management: Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and implement security policies.
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor webMethods infrastructure, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure system stability.
- Backup & Recovery: Implement backup/recovery strategies and maintain data integrity.
- Patch Management: Plan and apply patches/upgrades, ensuring system security and stability.
- Deployment Support: Collaborate with development teams on integration solutions, providing technical guidance.
- User Support: Provide technical support for webMethods applications and maintain a knowledge base.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance for scalability.
- Automation & Best Practices: Automate routine tasks, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage Kubernetes deployments.
- Product Expertise: Maintain expertise in Software AG products such as webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, API Gateway, and Microgateway.
Key Documents:
Review and deliver documents like Business Requirements, Installation Guides, Security Policies, Disaster Recovery Plans, Technical Configuration Guides, and Deployment Plans.
Pre-requisites:
- Education: B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in administering Software AG webMethods solutions, with expertise in high-availability environments, microservices, container orchestration, and automation.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in webMethods suite, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, scripting, security protocols, and networking.
- Behavioral Competencies: Strong organizational, problem-solving, teamwork, and client interaction skills; ability to work in fast-paced environments.
