The Match Group Protect team is dedicated to preventing real world harm and countering threats against Match Group’s global portfolio of employees, properties and brands. The Protect team is looking for a Protective Intel and Threat Analyst to develop and grow the Protect team’s Threat Assessment, Travel Security, and Investigation programs and to conduct intelligence analysis that enables Match Group to anticipate emerging threat trends globally and mitigate security risk. You will monitor all-source information to proactively identify and assess threats that could impact our business.
Reporting to the Global Head of Security, this role will be a crucial part of Match Group Protect as well as internal teams across Match Group’s portfolio of brands. You will make a real and meaningful impact protecting Match Group executives, employees, and our brands by assessing risk and physical assets within the portfolio. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in threat assessment, travel security, executive protection, risk management, intelligence analysis, and crisis management. This role will be expected to work with teams across the company, including those in different time zones globally, to ensure the security of all Match Group employees, properties, and brands.
This role is primarily focused on three areas of responsibility:- Threat Management & Workplace Violence: Monitor all-source information to proactively identify and assess threats relevant to our brands, products, employees, global offices, and executives. Formalize the existing threat management & workplace violence program through the standardization of the investigative workflow and auditing of programmatic documentation, to include finalization of all policies, playbooks, and report templates. Effectively collaborate with Match Group stakeholders across the company to ensure the success of the program, including with People, Legal, Privacy, Trust and Safety, and InfoSec.
- Travel Security: You will partner with our GSOC to assist with the monitoring of Match Group’s travel risk management system, to include threat monitoring, traveler communications and emergency/incident response for all employees traveling on behalf of Match Group. Conduct travel risk assessments for Executives traveling domestically and internationally. Conduct advance hotel and location analysis prior to specific trips. Assist in coordination of large group event security and transportation. Provide Match Group employees traveling to high threat countries with pre-trip briefings and ongoing trip monitoring. Update and maintain Match Group’s travel security policies, protocols, and documentation.
In addition to the above areas of responsibility, this role is expected to: - Produce intelligence assessments, geopolitical analysis, and risk insights products to advise & inform the Protect team and other Match Group stakeholders on existing & emerging security threat trends and/or issues that pose a risk to Match Group employees, properties, or brands.
- Conduct market entry security assessments prior to Match Group or a brand entering a new market with an in-person and/or in-market presence.
- Provide support as needed to fulfill the Protect team’s Executive Protection and Protective Intelligence requirements.
- This role may involve some travel to help facilitate executive movements or large group events.
We could be a match if:- 3+ years of experience in threat management, travel security and/or executive protection analysis.
- 3+ years of analytic experience at a global technology company including having worked with stakeholders and partners across cultures and geographies.
- Experience in threat investigation work in a major government or technology company researching, investigating, and analyzing threat intelligence trends.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and build partnerships with stakeholders across a broad array of verticals, including Communications, Government Relations, People, Legal, Privacy, Safety and Security.
- Experience planning, developing and conducting intelligence assessments and delivering briefings to counterparts, technical audiences, senior leaders, and policymakers on emerging threats of real-world violence.
- Experience developing processes for sharing information and analytic insights across large organizations.
- Experience developing and maintaining a network of industry contacts and information sources.
- Experience working in a crisis response or rapid response process.
- Preferred if candidate has a Master’s degree in criminal justice, international relations, security management, or other relevant field of study
- International experience, specifically working with stakeholders in APAC & EMEA
- Experience working an atypical schedule and being on call to respond to crises and/or emergencies on nights and weekends
What’s the team like?- This is a newly created position, reporting to the Global Head of Security, based out of our Los Angeles office.
- Our team is made up of Match Group Protect management, Protect GSOC, and security officers, and contract security officers from many different contract security companies.
- Our mandate is to protect the employees that we have in the US, Canada, France, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and more.
- Success on this team requires the ability to manage projects, relationships, and time effectively and the ability to keep up with the hustle of a fast-paced start-up environment while impacting a global business.
$85,000 - $109,500 a year
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
