SET THE COURSE
This position is a support position within the Distribution Center. The Material Handler receives, stores, distributes, and ships products by performing the outlined duties below.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
  • Proficient competency level in reading, understanding and verbally communicating in English in order to carry out written or verbal instructions to meet productivity standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
  • Ability to unload shipping line based upon specified criteria and accurately move product to specified shipping lane while meeting minimum production standard.
  • Accurately and efficiently produce shipping labels and affix to correct carton / package.
  • Ability to accurately verify BOL’s and research any discrepancies while meeting shipping schedules.
    • Assist loading shipments onto trucks according to customer requirements.
  • Convey product from receiving areas to storage/designated areas while maintaining minimum production standard.
  • Performs RF and Voice systems ie: receiving, put away, replenishment, moves and pick / pack at minimum production standard.
    • Open containers, label, scan and sort cartons for put away while maintaining minimum production standard.
  • Notifies the Lead or Supervisor of merchandise that is damaged, missing or incorrectly stored in any given location.
    • Ability to operate all lift equipment as well as hand trucks, pallet jacks and riding floor jacks according to safety guidelines.
  • Ability to stand for duration of the shift, and repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Uses computers and software programs to research and print work assignments.
  • May be trained to use the riding floor scrubber.
  • Must be familiar with all storage locations within the distribution center.
  • Assists in training of new Material Handlers on receiving and / or material handling duties.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately cross-train and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervision, co-workers and others to achieve operational excellence.
  • Reliable, detail oriented, self-motivated team player with a positive approach to assigned tasks and ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and availability to work early and late shifts, occasional weekend assignments, and overtime.
  • General housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse work areas.
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as required and that may occasionally be necessary to support the business.
ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work over time, as business deems necessary.
  • Proven competency to speak, read and write in English.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Legible hand writing.
  • Experience using RF / Voice Command equipment desirable
  • Ability to work in a production line.
  • Previous experience utilizing a WMS
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
  • Prioritization and problem solving skills essential.
  • Data entry and 10-key experience.
  • High school Diploma/GED.
  • 3 plus year work experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Lift and or move up to approximately 50 lbs. frequently
  • Bending/stooping/kneeling required frequently
Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.
Rate Range: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour.
