Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, finished goods and/or equipment.

Competencies:

• Read and understand work instructions and follow work orders to ensure completion of tasks at assigned time and in assigned location
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols
• Communicate with team members to ensure completion of tasks and proper delivery of goods
• Utilize RF scanner to identify any potential issues or delays in the flow of materials
• Determine if product needs any adjustments or changes before final packaging
• Maintain good working relationships with team members, department managers, union representatives, suppliers, vendors, plant managers and plant employees
• Additional duties as required

Requirements:
·Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance.
·Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
·Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining good accuracy.
·Reads small print such as legibly spelling out numbers.
·Basic computer skills including the ability to type on a keyboard.
·Must be able to follow written instructions.
·Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
·Ability to work with minimal supervision.
·Able to work weekends and holidays when required.
