Material Handling - Operator Equipment

Savage Services in Hayden Colorado is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator. The Ash Facility Operator primary responsibilities include general labor duties including but not limited to operation the ash handling system, operate mobile equipment and haul trucks, clean-up of equipment, work areas and grounds. The Ash Facility Operator will report directly to the Team Leader.

Overview:
The Ash Facility Operator primary responsibilities include general labor duties including but not limited to clean-up of equipment, work areas and grounds. Operate and perform general maintenance on equipment and grounds keeping. Operate the ash handling system. The Ash Facility Operator will report directly to the Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Operates conveyor system to transport dry bulk products
• Operates dozer/loader to move ash and feeder conveyor
• Operates water truck
• Lifts approximately 0-50 lbs. occasionally
• Lifts approximately 0-25 lbs. unassisted and regularly
• Climbs stairs and work at various heights
• Wears a respirator
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• The ability to work from written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
• Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required
• Can follow all rules and procedures as outlines by Savage

Education/Experience:

• High School or GED
• Equipment experience would be a plus

Physical Requirements:
Successful candidates must be willing to work any shift, including weekends. These positions require the willingness and ability to work at heights as well as climbing stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in an environment containing coal and ash dust and in hot or cold environments. Must have the ability and willingness to perform the essential physical functions of the position.
