Maxim Healthcare Corporate Services' is currently seeking an Open Credit Specialist that will research payment credits and takes appropriate actions based on type or status.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Researches payment credits on accounts to determine status, and takes appropriate action such as sales adjustments and refunds• Consults with regional staff and branches prior to issuing refunds• Maintains current knowledge of Managed Care and other third party insurance/health plans coverage, billing procedures, coding and policies• Contacts payers or patients to obtain appropriate information for refunds• Completes required forms to process refunds• Reviews weekly posting of open credits• Performs other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:• High School degree or equivalent required• Three (3) years of experience in Accounts Receivables within a healthcare or insurance environment preferred• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including but not limited to supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills• Quick and accurate Alpha/numeric data entry skills• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Web-enabled applications• Excellent work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities• Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well both as part of a team and independently• Must present a positive image that reflects well on the organizationAbout Maxim Healthcare ServicesMaxim Healthcare Services has been making a difference in the lives of our patients, caregivers, employees and communities for more than 30 years.
