RequirementsDescription & RequirementsMaximus is seeking a SOC Analyst Tier I to support a federal Homeland Security customer in Denton, Texas.• This position is contingent upon award*Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS055, T1, Band 4The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of cyber threats, information security, security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and incident handling (NIST SP 800-61). Familiarity with conducting security monitoring in a SIEM, such as Splunk or similar tools, is essential. The candidate must also have knowledge of TCP/IP ports and protocols, IDS/IPS systems, and basic incident handling and response concepts.Required Skills:• Requires a BS degree and 2 years of relevant experience. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
