MeBe is seeking a Controller with a background in Behavioral Health Services to play a critical role in overseeing the financial forecasting, accounting, RCM operations. This position will report directly to the CEO and manage a small team. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in revenue-related processes, ultimately contributing to the financial success of the organization.

About What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a small team of FPA analysts, accountants, payroll specialists, and revenue cycle managers.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their professional development goals.
Financial Management:
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Monitor financial performance against budget and provide regular reports to the Senior Leadership Team.
Revenue Cycle Management:
Manage a Revenue Cycle Manager and team responsible for overseeing the revenue cycle management process, including billing, collections, and reimbursement analysis.
Optimize revenue cycle workflows to maximize collections and minimize revenue leakage.
Stay current with changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement policies to ensure compliance and maximize revenue opportunities.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including GAAP, HIPAA, and other industry-specific requirements.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and risk management strategies.
Strategic Planning:
Partner with senior department leadership to develop and execute strategic financial plans that support the organization's growth objectives.
Evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and process improvement.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of experience as a controller with a focus in revenue cycle management, and at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in ABA, at minimum in mental healthcare services.
Understanding of correct coding principles CPT/HCSPCS and modifier selection as well as CCI edits and billing guidelines.
Proficient in using RCM software and financial management systems, Central Reach preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, billing procedures, and compliance requirements.
A strong process thinker with an ability to translate complex operations into a clear and easily understandable process
Multi-site and multi-state experience required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
