Join us in transforming healthcare locally and globally, as we strive to empower 500,000 care providers to reach 500 million patients by 2030.As an Intermediate Software Developer, you will be a key Comtron team developer member, in a team responsible for cost-effective, customizable technology systems to help medical laboratories and thousands of healthcare providers improve efficiency, minimize costs and increase ROI. Our main product is; Labgen LIS, a fully integrated lab information system uniquely designed for medical laboratories to automate and customize as needed, managing various case types like biochemistry, microbiology, toxicology, cytogenetics, and pharmacogenetics.• Please note this is a remote/hybrid role for candidates residing in NY State only.Job DescriptionAs a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining programs and services that makeup Labgen, our Laboratory Information System (LIS). Works closely with the Product Management team and Development Manager to target the right priorities that deliver the most value to customers, the team, and the company. Cooperate with other developers to ensure the quality of their work and their own.What you'll do:• Help design, develop, test, and maintain the software in accordance with functional requirements and scope of work• Contribute to team discussions• Focus on quality and continuous improvement of applications and processes• Step up when the situation demands such as meeting deadlines and resolving critical production issues• Ensure project timelines are met• Engage with customer conversations on product suggestions and design changes• Management of projects and deliverables to the clientQualificationsWho you are:• You have 2-3+ years of C or C++ development experience• You have hands-on experience in Linux/Unix OS• You are comfortable discussing computer science concepts (algorithm complexity, data structures, searching, and sorting algorithms)• RESTful APIs experience is an asset• You have experience with Javascript, and any Javascript library, and/or framework (i.e.: ReactJS, Sencha/EXTJS) an asset• Project management experience is an asset• Customer management experience is an assetAdditional InformationWhat we offer:By joining the Comtron team you're embarking on a dynamic environment where trust, innovation, quality, and client success guide our days.
