Summary: Codes accurately and productively with abstraction to assigned inpatient medical records to meet the reimbursement, indexing and statistical requirements of the hospital. Consistently maintaining production and accuracy standards at all times.

Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in Health Information Technology for RHIT or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Administration for RHIA, 2 plus years of IP ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Coding experience required; or Certified Coding Specialist Certificate for CCS required, 3 plus years of IP ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding experience. MS-DRG knowledge required, APR-DRG knowledge a plus, Acute Care Hospital Coding experience required, 3M Encoder experience preferred, Cerner, Meditech, Optum System experience preferred.
