Health by Design, a Medici company is seeking a full-time Family or Internal Medicine Physician for a newly created Diabetes Clinician role. Will provide focused diabetes care to a unique, all adult patient population. This individual will travel between four clinic locations (will not typically work at more than one location per day) caring for retired San Antonio Police and Fire Fighters, as well as other First Responders. Our beautiful state-of-the-art health and wellness centers offer a variety of services that patients can take advantage of to help them in their journey to better health including on-site health and nutrition coaching, cooking classes, exercise classes, mental health care, physical therapy and more! Our physicians practice in a value-based care model (NO fee-for-service) with LOW patient volume and no productivity metrics. This role will be well-supported with experienced Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses, as well as working collaboratively with other providers. Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. No late hours, no call and no after-hours charting! Clinics are located in the Westover Hills, Fair Oaks, Roosevelt and Schertz areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate from an accredited US School of Medicine (MD or DO)

Current unrestricted Texas license

Board Certification / Board Eligible (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Current DEA Certificate

BLS - Basic Life Support Certification

Proven track record of working with diabetes and endocrine patients
