RECREATION AIDE
Working Title: Member Services Assistant (29.9 hour)

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
The Membership Assistant position will primarily assist the Recreation & Physical Education Membership staff through a variety of ways to include assisting with day-to-day operations of the front desks, providing customer service throughout two recreation facilities, and performing membership specific duties. The position will report to the Coordinator of Facilities and Member Services.
Qualifications:
Work requires analytical, communication, and customer service skills generally acquired through two years of relevant work experience.
Essential Functions:
o Facility Monitor, Guest Services, and Weight Room
Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:
Membership Assistant
o Complete Membership imports with each updated list provided. This includes groups such as Live for Life, MBA Student Groups, MOBA/MTC Groups, etc.
o Compile information to create, edit and send the monthly Member Email.
o Assist in hiring, training, onboarding, and evaluating the part-time staff.
o Assist in creating and building the monthly staff quizzes.
o Assist and lead the tabling and outreach events with campus partners.
o Responsible for updating and tracking the promotional items inventory.
o Run monthly facility access reports.
o Assist in creating tabling events for membership renewals and member appreciation week.
o Assist in the management of the Employee of the Month program.
Guest Services Attendant
o Serves as the first link to the centers and is responsible for greeting members and guests upon arrival as well as acknowledge their departure.
o Checks members, guests, and visitors in/out of the facilities.
o Monitors flow of traffic into and out of the facility.
o Ensures ID’s are current and valid to access the facilities.
o Be readily available to answer member questions and/or refer to the appropriate staff.
o Follows procedures to register guests and visitors.
o Keeps sign in book at front desks for guests/visitors and waivers updated.
o Arrange and maintain the Lost & Found cabinet in an orderly and organized manner.
o Reviews the Daily Room Schedule for reservations.
o Completes all necessary forms.
o Checks out loan equipment and ensures equipment is returned and does not leave the facility.
Training Requirements: First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Work requires the ability to provide recreational assistance generally equivalent to a partial high school education.
