Overview

Our Environmental Services Technician (PRN) plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment within the facility.   

 

This position involves cleaning and servicing various building areas according to established procedures.

 

The technician performs a variety of environmental duties to ensure that all spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

 

Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere will contribute significantly to the overall well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff.    

 

Shift: PRN (as needed)

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.

This background will help ensure that our Environmental Services Technician can maintain the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene essential for our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Clean assigned areas of the hospital and check and replenish all essential supplies in those areas.
  • Collect regular trash from each floor and transport it to the designated trash receiving area.
  • Safely pick up hazardous waste from designated areas and deliver it to the Hazardous Waste room, following proper boxing procedures.
  • Prepare germicidal and detergent solutions according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure all items are stored in an orderly manner in the supply room, maintaining cleanliness of the cart and equipment.
  • Inspect assigned areas for any repair needs or hazardous conditions, taking appropriate action to stop malfunctioning equipment or contain hazardous situations.
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.

This role is vital in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
