Our unit is responsible for driving innovation within Mendix, as we work on cutting-edge technologies to democratize Generative AI solutions as part of our global R&D organization.  


Our local team in Munich develops innovative solutions so our customers can create smarter applications to leverage generative AI with a great developer and end-user experience. You can find most of our components in the Mendix marketplace, they are showcased in this app and can be used through Mendix Cloud GenAI Resource Packs.


You’ll help drive digital innovation by:
  • Building something new upon an existing foundation, moving as fast as the GenAI space is progressing 
  • Working with early adopters to create the portfolio of GenAI modules and applications our customers really need. 
  • Working on a platform with a lasting impact and strategic value. Thousands of developers and millions of end users across the globe rely on your work and each commit can make a lot of impact. 
  • Being thorough, we like to get to the bottom of things; clear answers are more important than deadlines. 
  • Dabbling in all sorts of technologies when it takes our fancy. Although we focus on development in Mendix we sometimes branch out into Java, CSS, JavaScript or Python.


You’re the innovator we need if:
  • Your Mendix skills compare to the level of an advanced/expert developer 
  • You have a minimum of 5 years overall experience with application development in Mendix. 
  • You have extensive knowledge of Mendix Best Practices for development. 
  • You have preferably some experiences with Java programming 
  • You like learning new things and techniques, you pick up new languages and technologies based on tasks at hand 
  • You are excited by the challenge of complex technical problems 
  • You feel responsible for the quality of your work and the impact it has on others 
  • You have experience in Agile software development. You’re able to adapt to change and are open-minded. You’re comfortable working as part of a scrum team 
  • You have experience with software development tooling such as CICD in Gitlab and working with GitHub. 
  • You want to become part of a work environment in which your ideas are valued 
  • You enjoy meeting your colleagues once or twice a week in a modern office in Schwabing 


Bonus if:
  • You have a background in the domain of generative AI, either through your education or your work experience in the area of software development 
  • You have experience with hyperscaler platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google 
  • You have a passion for software architecture
