Bioinformatics Summer Intern

Metagenomi is seeking a talented Bioinformatics Summer Intern to work on developing solutions to next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis problems in the field of gene editing. The intern will collaborate with the team to optimize NGS data processing pipelines and explore the development of AI tools for guide selection processes.

Skills

Strong understanding of NGS data formats and analysis concepts
Scripting and data analysis skills in Python and R
Experience with biological databases and analysis tools
Knowledge of machine learning techniques
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms

Responsibilities

Optimize NGS data processing pipelines
Develop AI tools or statistical methods for guide selection processes
Collaborate across Preclinical and Discovery teams

Education

Actively pursuing a degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics or related field
