Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.What You Will Do• Serves as a trusted partner to key business leaders on all people matters.• Serves as a liaison to all HR Centers of Excellence and other key HR stakeholders.• Keeps senior management informed of people developments, and events to ensure appropriate resources are included in resolution, and to ensure risks are fully assessed and mitigated.• Consults with leaders on change management, learning and organizational development, performance management tools and processes, and advises on performance improvement and development plans.• Partners with Compensation to support internal equity and market reviews and communicates outcomes to Leaders and Associates.• Initiates and drives the design and implementation of new or changed HR policies, practices, and programs in order to promote and foster a healthy work environment.• Interprets engagement data and drives increased engagement through leader and team coaching.• Coordinates and facilitates events such as recognition events, service awards, community events, activity groups, etc.• Deploys recognition and rewards programs.• Takes an active role in the assessment and reinforcement of the MLH culture within the facility/unit and partners to drive an engaged workforce.• Assesses staffing and development needs along with partnering with COE’s for workforce forecasting.• Analyzes and addresses performance trends.• Leads talent reviews and succession planning for the facility.• Plays a key role in championing change within the organization; energizes stakeholders to sustain their commitment to change in approaches, processes, and strategies.• Partners with leaders to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards for the respective business unit.• Understands organizational and facility goals to ensure human resources functions are aligned with business needs.• Implements both system-wide and location specific HR initiatives.• Proactively assesses organizational performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative “influence without authority” approach.• Drives decision making through fact-finding, analysis, and reporting on key HR metrics (i.e. turnover, vacancy,staffing and other key metrics).• Analyzes available data for trends and knowledge sharing with leadership.• Stays well-informed of developments and trends in HR, including legislative and regulatory implications for HR. Shares knowledge, recommendations, and business implications.Education/Formal Training Requirements• Bachelor's Degree Human Resources• Bachelor's Degree Business AdministrationWork Experience Requirements• 3-5 years At least 4 years’ professional-level experience in human resources• Healthcare industry/hospital experienceLicenses And Certifications Requirements• SHRM (CP or SCP)• ASHHRA (CHHR)• HRCI (PHR or SPHR)Knowledge, Skills And Abilities• Demonstrates applied knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and regulations.• Has a reputation of respect and trust from others; demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and discretion.• Excellent organizational and consultative skills.• Excellent interpersonal communications skills to effectively communicate and interact with associates and all levels of management.• Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult or more complex problems with general or limited supervision.• Demonstrated critical thinking with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.• Meets competencies defined in the MLH HR Competency Model.• Demonstrates depth in knowledge and skills for wide application of technical principles, theory, and concepts in the field of HR.• Applies comprehensive understanding of HR laws, rules, and regulations.• Highly developed expertise in analysis to support complex problem solving and decision-making.• Proficient with software programs including Word, Excel, and Power Point.• Applies disciplined thinking that is clear, rational, open-minded, and informed by evidence.Supervision Provided by this Position• There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this job.Physical Demands• The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.• Must have good balance and coordination.• The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.• The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.• The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.Our Associates are passionate about what they do, the service they provide and the patients they serve.
