As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Security Test Engineer at Octo, you will be focused on supporting a D365 platform at the Department of Veterans Affairs in a high-demand customer success environment. Responsibilities may include performing static code analysis, tracking of results for remediation by application, and evaluation of static analysis results for false positives. Program Mission…

The Digital Transformation Center (DTC) supports Veterans Affairs (VA) with onboarding and maintaining enterprise SaaS and PaaS solutions used to support the mission of serving our Veterans and their associated stakeholders. We are digitizing information and processes for improved implementation, leveraging modern tools and low code/no code for reusability and faster delivery.

Requirements…

  • At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 products required.
  • Coordinate with development teams and other team participants to plan test events.
  • Track problems and reports on security vulnerabilities that are identified.
  • Configure necessary software and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
  • Work closely with the Security Architect, ISSO, and stakeholders to understand product specifics and to create corresponding security test strategies.
  • Coordination of vulnerability remediation with system developers to track completion phase, vulnerability reports, vulnerability prevention, and evaluation of false positives.
  • Interpret security static code analysis results and offer guidance to developers on remediation techniques.
  • Manage the backlog of applications and enhancement requests from multiple concurrent Salesforce Modules that have transitioned from Development to Go-Live.
  • Perform routine Security and Vulnerability (WASA) audit testing in Salesforce.
  • Working collaboratively with Developers, other Security and Systems Engineers, Project Managers, and internal stakeholders to implement and support the level of protection systems will need during development process.
  • Supporting technical solutions that address vulnerability findings and security gaps during the system development process.
  • Conduct compliance reviews to ensure all products developed are in accordance with VA security standards. Perform qualitative assessment of VA’s current Cloud Computing Framework particularly as it relates to security in cloud environments.
  • Summarize and document all security-related vulnerabilities, with emphasis on high-risk activities and threat potential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal and verbal/written communications, presentations, math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
  • At least 1 year of experience with automated testing tools required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.
  • Ability to adapt well to diverse environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

Years of Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.

Education: BA/BS degree in a computer discipline, or equivalent applicable experience OR a minimum of 4 years equivalent work experience.

Location: Remote within the United States.

Clearance: Ability to obtain government clearance.
