MicroStrategy Developer

Work Summary

Maintenance of existing reporting and developing new reports and dashboards. Team will also support business with ad-hoc requests of data and reports. Ad hoc requests are rare but usually urgent.

Stakeholders are the senior executive leadership team, Finance, Merchandising, Planning, Programming.

Primary measures of success: Accuracy and Timeliness.

Skillset requirements: SQL, MicroStrategy, and business analysis.

Specific skills:

• MicroStrategy expertise with previous experience creating event-based automated email report subscriptions distributed by MicroStrategy.
  • This includes standard grid reports, highly formatted pixel-perfect documents, freeform SQL reports, and interactive, visually appealing Dossiers.

• Reports leveraging MicroStrategy governed metadata layer.
  • Nice to have: Experience with multi-source reporting, data blending, and leveraging i-cubes.

• With prior MicroStrategy architect experience that understands setup/architecture of BI layer including parent/child relationships, Drill maps, Hierarchies, etc.

Nice to have: Experience with azure synapse
