Position Overview

**
**
This role is responsible for maintaining the health and performance of SEG’s middleware infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, managing, installing, upgrading, and monitoring software and hardware components, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and providing support to the application development team. This role will also play a crucial role in ensuring optimal and uninterrupted functioning of our business systems.

Responsibilities

• Builds technical configuration and setup for Middleware security protocols and standards per vendor and customer requirements and corporate standards 25%
• Acts as project manager for projects including, but not limited to, gathering and documenting business requirements for technical tasks and projects, evaluating business challenges and recommending solutions 15%
• Performs administrative tasks in support of the team such as processing and tracking projects, managing system applications, and handling incoming and outgoing project communications10%Installs and configures middleware software and components10%Works with developers to fix bugs or defects in software code10%Maintains detailed documentation around system configurations, settings, customer/vendor contacts information 10%
• Manages the flow of questions and feedback during the development, testing, and production phases of software solutions10%
• Provides consultation and support to customers to ensure developed technical specifications meet their requirements 10%

Qualifications

· Competency in technical requirements documentation and use case writing
· Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical staff and translate needs
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimum supervision
· Customer service oriented with strong communication and problem-solving capabilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Proficient in the lifecycle of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
• Firm understanding of EDI and ANSI ASC X12 file standards with emphasis on the retail related transaction sets; 850, 875, 852, 820, 832, 810, 880, 894, 855, 856, 879, 888, 835, and 997
• Working knowledge of at least 2 of the following Middleware products; IBM Managed File Transfer (MFTE), IBM API Connect, Message queuing, and EDI Validation software
