Who We're Looking For The Senior Creative Director leads the visual direction and campaign approach across the entire Minted portfolio. They are the steward of the Minted Brand, ensuring all creative not only raises the bar, but also is on brand and builds towards the larger creative vision and business goals for Minted. You are a visionary and creative mastermind, able to see the bigger picture and how all the creative pieces build toward that vision. You are a master at your craft and a mentor of it as well, from your leadership presence and orchestration ability on any creative project. While a high taste level, take-charge spirit, and rich past experience are essential, it's your exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills that will lead to true success in this role. Be ready to wear multiple hats, including creative luminary, business leader, and team coach--contributing to a positive culture as well as the personal growth of your colleagues. An expert communicator, you're clear, concise, and purposeful, whether rallying people around an idea or delineating logistical specifics. And as a creative chief with equal parts integrity and empathy, you're able to constructively intake and problem-solve stakeholder feedback, while preserving the individual spirit of each project, and the voice and vision of the creative team. Who you'll work with This position reports to the Vice President of Brand Marketing and works cross-functionally with teams across the organization. Direct reports include but are not limited to, Creative Directors across brand teams. This position will work out of our HQ on a hybrid basis is open to San Francisco based applicants only. What You'll Work On Define the holistic visual and conceptual approach across the Minted portfolio to ensure all creative is on brand and building towards the larger vision for Minted. Work collaboratively with leadership to develop & evolve the visual identity system/architecture as new brands/opportunities arise. Raise the bar and take our visual brand to the next level. Ensure that our visual communications are on strategy, on brand, and drive results. Stay on the cutting edge of design across media types, including digital, interactive, environmental/retail, photography, data visualization and more. Manage and mentor creative directors, providing leadership, inspiration, guidance, support and direction. Encourage excellence, ambition, and team spirit. Deliver best-in-class photography, video content, brand activations and design in service of Minted's creative team. Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, and successful completion. Build a best-in-class creative department that elevates design above all else. Develop and maintain relationships with external creatives and agencies and partner with other leads in the business to ensure the strongest approach to external talent. Identify needs for training and development, coaching and mentoring. Collaborate with the larger team to critically evaluate the creative process and continually improve it. Understand, drive and enhance the creative process to complete projects in a timely manner. Oversee art direction for editorial and still-life photo and video shoots as needed, ensuring our content is always on-brand, diverse, contemporary, desirable and within agreed budgets. Thoughtfully organize and prepare all creative work to ensure a productive and efficient creative review process. What You Bring To Minted 12years of experience as a creative leader, with at least five years of experience working as a creative director in a product/retail brand or agency-setting. A passion for Art, Design, and Technology is a must. Proven leader & people person, with the skills and drive to identify and empower emerging talent. Self-starter mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and drive results in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines. Mastery of 2-D mediums, excellent typography and layout skills, advanced understanding of writing and communications, and excellence in concept creation. Experience across multiple marketing mediums including digital, video, TV, print, events and physical environments preferred. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with attention to detail and clean execution. Highly process focused mindset with ability to own and drive the roadmap with internal and external teams. Outstanding communication, follow-up, organization, and time management. Highly proficient in design, typography, Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. A deep appreciation for design and its power to enrich people's lives. Thrives in a fast-paced and agile environment. Bachelor's degree in Design or a related discipline.
