Sr. Copywriter (West Coast)

Who we are looking for

The Sr. Copywriter uses their expertise in brand voice, narrative, and strategy to develop concepts and language that elevates the Minted brand and connects meaningfully with consumers. They combine standout writing ability with a perceptive understanding of consumer experience to drive awareness, action, and loyalty. They bring big ideas to life with an uncompromising attention to the smallest details. They embrace the opportunity of building on Minted's established success and continuing to deliver for core consumers, while also leading the evolution of the brand and target audience in the years to come.

Who you will work with

This position reports to the Brand Creative Director. Direct reports include freelance and staff copywriters.

What you will work on

  • Help to guide the evolution of Minted's brand voice and lead copy development that's fresh and distinctive, with an eye towards pushing the brand to the forefront of culture.
  • Concept campaigns, working closely with cross-functional partners to drive creative campaign development through to execution.
  • Oversee and execute copy needs across a broad range of media, including website, print, video, experiential, and retail.
  • Keep all writing on-brand and on-strategy.
  • Elevate the work of copywriters and other creatives to push beyond what's expected.
  • Work in seamless partnership with creative and product teams on large-scale campaigns and product launches.
  • Partner with designers and art directors to develop concepts for product launches and category evolution.
  • Continually seek out the latest in design and consumer brands to bring fresh inspiration to Minted's creative teams.

What You Bring To Minted

  • 8+ years experience copywriting and leading creative teams in a brand or agency setting.
  • Passion for the power of design to connect and inspire.
  • Exceptional writing ability, combined with a deep understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Excellent manager and motivator of creative talent, with the ability to empower collaboration and spark breakthrough creative thinking.
  • Proven experience working with varied agencies and vendors across a breadth of creative mediums and spectrum of strategy, design, and development.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Strategic and pragmatic mindset.
  • Astute attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills.
  • Adept at relationship-building, with the ability to facilitate collaboration and unite multiple teams and varied personalities around a singular goal.
  • Ability to understand and embrace enterprise goals and leadership direction, and translate these to the larger team with actionable next steps.
  • Proven ability to influence internal stakeholders with well-crafted content strategies and ideas, backed by data.
  • Project-management savvy: Ability to oversee multiple workstreams, identifying deliverables, assigning owners, and prioritizing schedules accordingly.
  • Keen eye for creative across formats, with the ability to ensure all written content is consistent with brand standards.
  • Experience writing for Ecommerce and digital marketing required.
