By tackling inefficiencies in the food system, our passionate and motivated team of problem solvers helps save an average of 500,000 pounds of food per week from waste or lesser outcomes, with an all-time savings of 190+ million pounds of food.About the Role:The Strategy & Planning Senior Associate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation and maintenance of regular merchandising team reporting, processes, and tools. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is curious and enjoys solving complex problems, and who never stops looking for a better way to do things. When they find themselves in uncharted territory, they are excited, rather than intimidated.This role will report to the Senior Manager of Strategy Planning.Responsibilities:• Assemble and synthesize data for routine reporting, including compiling and analyzing data from multiple sources and creating templates that outline the data in a cohesive and digestible action oriented format• Project manage the timely completion of critical tasks required to open the storefront each week, as well as those required for longer term special initiatives• Help build and maintain complex tools based in Excel/Google Sheets that are used across the org, including troubleshooting errors and inaccuracies• Work closely with category management and inventory planning partners to drive continuous improvement and find efficiencies in inventory management, assortment planning, pricing, and tool/process building• Provide ad hoc analytical support for category management and inventory planning partners as neededSkills and Qualifications:• 1-2 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis or analytics experience, familiarity with retail or e-commerce is preferred• Must be highly proficient with Excel and Google sheets, and able to help build scalable tools in a scrappy fast-paced environment• Experience within merchandising, purchasing, and/or planning• Excellent interpersonal skills• Experience with programs including Oracle, Mode, or similar platforms working with large data sets preferredAbout You:• You’re passionate about our mission to eliminate food waste and create a better food system for all• You're extremely organized with a strong attention to detail• You're able to prioritize and meet deadlines• You love the opportunity to meet challenges and take preventative action for solutions• You work well and nimbly in a highly active team in a collaborative, fast paced environmentDetails of Position & Benefits:• Annual salary $60k - $75k• Full-time exempt position• 100 % Remote Work• Salary and employee stock options commensurate with experience• Unlimited PTO• Multiple health, dental, and vision plan options• Life Insurance• 401K planPlease see here for Misfits Market's Job Applicant Privacy Notice.
