CARD ASSOCIATE, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MIT ID card function, including support and administration of user and control databases and daily transactions; and maintaining the ID card hardware, software, and network. Responsibilities include designing, printing, and programing MIT ID cards for faculty, staff, students, and applicable affiliates; maintaining and updating the card database, including troubleshooting issues with Human Resources and IS&T as needed; utilizing current applications to support door access troubleshooting for customers; preparing and reporting financial transactions for approval, invoicing, and account reconciliation; maintaining inventory of card production supplies and accessories and reviewing vendor offerings on a routine basis; conducting hardware diagnostics, software maintenance, and operating system and network administration troubleshooting support; maintaining and troubleshooting equipment; working with MIT’s parking and transportation offices to audit expired cards; recommending process and program improvements to meet current business needs; and performing additional duties as requested.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years of experience in administration, customer service, or a related field; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; accounts payable experience; strong customer service and oral and written communication skills for effectively interacting with a diverse client base; good judgment, diplomacy, and discretion with confidential or sensitive information; and ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
