As a member of the RFIC Design team, your work will impact each of Viasat’s business unit organizations. We build all RF and Microwave integrated chips for Viasat satellites and ground equipment, as well as phase arrays for government programs. Every IC that we develop is unique and technically challenging. This position will provide the opportunity to solve cutting-edge technical challenges.
As an Engineer on our team, you’ll perform Microwave/RF/mixed-signal System-on-Chip design of complex circuits. You will design custom IC circuits on State of the Art SiGe and CMOS processes, particularly at 90um SiGe process technologies and CMOS process technologies at 65nm, 45nm and below.
The day-to-day:
- Semiconductor process evaluation (we pick the right process for the right application, e.g. CMOS, C, GaN)
-
IC System Analysis, ID Architecture trades (we get a requirement from the customer and have the ability to make architectural changes to meet System requirements)
-
RF and Microwave and Analog circuit design.
-
We’re given an L and A design, perform a circuit topology trade study, preliminary design review, critical design review, and mask tape-out.
