As a valued member of our team, you will estimate engineering efforts, design innovative solutions, implement and thoroughly test your changes, and ensure a seamless deployment to production. You will also play a critical role in triaging any production issues that arise, ensuring a smooth experience for our users. Your contributions will directly shape the world's largest travel mobile apps, serving an immense user base on a scale that few companies can match.

What you'll do:

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and priorities

  • Effectively communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to team members, stakeholders, and management

  • iOS Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift and other relevant programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Ensure applications are optimized for performance, responsiveness, and reliability

  • Feature Implementation: Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand requirements and implement new features in the mobile applications

  • Translate user requirements into technical specifications and develop innovative solutions that meet business objectives

  • Code Review and Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and overall code quality

  • Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues and ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free applications

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in iOS development

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the codebase, development processes, and tools, and contribute to their enhancement.

  • Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve issues reported by users or identified through monitoring and analytics

  • Provide timely support to address critical production issues and ensure the smooth operation of the mobile applications.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 2+ years experience in iOS application development using Swift and Xcode with some experience on large scale applications

  • Good knowledge of iOS frameworks and libraries like SwiftUI, Cocoa, Combine

  • Demonstrates familiarity with associated technologies within their specialization as part of the wider ecosystem; such as GraphQL

  • Creates effective automation and unit tests

  • Proficiency in debugging, profiling, and optimizing mobile applications

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

The total cash range for this position in San Francisco is $117,000.00 to $163,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $187,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
