Mobile Wallet Engineer

The Role

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead product decisions, development, and delivery across

Leaf, with an eye to overall business goals. You will drive the technical vision for Leaf and lead the

development team to make it happen. You will use data and analytics insights to create a technical

roadmap and articulate your business decisions. You will collaborate closely with the growth team,

and work directly with the technical team and customer support team to deliver value to customers.

Responsibilities:

Translate business vision into technical requirements and then tasks, allocate to the development team, oversee, and participate in product development and testing to make sure enhancements align with the overall vision.
Manage a small, in-house developer team with front-end and back-end experience
Support new partner integrations and plan new integrations, interfacing with external business partners
Troubleshoot new integrations and communicate with external product teams
Oversee app updates, including app store listing
Develop a deep understanding of the customer
Write specifications outlining problems & amp; objectives, key elements of the feature, decision rationales, and metrics
Partner with design, engineering, and other stakeholders to prioritize, build and deploy new features
Support the build-out of new consumer products

Must Haves:

5+ years of product management experience or equivalent, software engineering or product design experience
Full-stack experience with a preference for MongoDB, Node.js, Flutter, AWS, microservices, and MVC architectural patterns
Experience building consumer-facing financial services products with an emphasis on mobile experiences across Africa
Blockchain and Web 3 experience, experience with Stellar preferred
Experience building, launching, and managing products at scale
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and experience building analytics tools from raw data
Deep care for the customer, proactive, outcome-oriented, passionate about financial inclusion
Openness to global travel as needed
