This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
We are seeking a dynamic Content Manager to play a pivotal role in creating and executing the content strategy for our Leafio business unit.
With a strategic and data-lead mindset, the Content Manager - Leafio is responsible for meeting business objectives and staying across the medical industry standards and regulations.
The Content Manager - Leafio will scale and lead a team of content creators, ensuring all content aligns with brand voice, resonates with our target audience (pharmacists and healthcare professionals), and drives engagement and conversions.
This role requires a creative mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of content marketing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the Leafio business objectives.
Develop content approach that considers multiple paid and owned channels, such as website, eDM, LinkedIn, facebook, pharmacy media and more
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, data, product, and sales, to ensure content supports overall business objectives.
Work with the Head of Marketing to conduct thorough research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform content strategy and creation.
Leadership and Mentoring
Lead a team of content creators to produce high-quality content across various platforms and channels.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and feedback to team members to foster their professional growth and development.
Implement and iterate process improvements whilst remaining agile
Manage relationships with external partners, such as agencies and freelancers, to supplement internal content capabilities when necessary
Content Creation
Work with the Head of Marketing and content team to establish and maintain a content calendar that aligns with Leafio and Montu Brands campaigns, health awareness dates, service updates, and education initiatives.
Oversee content production processes, from ideation to publication, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards - critical in a clinical environment.
Oversee the production of high-quality content, including eDMs, sales materials, clinical education, onsite content, articles, blog posts, social media posts, video content, testimonial production and other digital media formats.
Work closely with technical writer/s and the clinical team to ensure content resonates with a medical audience.
Work closely with our pharmacy customers to create compelling case studies that resonate with pharmacy audience
Ensure brand voice and tone consistency across all content touchpoints.
Participate in and run workshops and ideation sessions to assist with content and campaign development.
Community Strategy
Work with the Head of Marketing to develop and implement a comprehensive community strategy to engage with healthcare professional online communities.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and product experts within the company to ensure accurate and helpful responses to customer queries.
Analyse interactions and feedback to identify trends, improve customer satisfaction, and inform content creation that addresses common concerns and questions.
Monitor social media and online forums to manage brand reputation, respond to feedback, and escalate any concerns or issues to the appropriate internal teams.
Work with the Head of Marketing to create training materials and guidelines for the community management team to ensure consistency in tone, accuracy of information, and compliance with healthcare communication regulations.
Stay abreast of developments in social media platforms, community management practices, and healthcare industry trends to continuously improve our community strategy.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in healthcare communication and patient privacy.
Social Media Strategy
Develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with the brand’s objectives, enhances customer engagement, and boosts online presence across relevant channels.
Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging, high-quality content tailored to each social media platform, ensuring consistency with the brand’s voice and values.
Lead the social media and community support, providing guidance, inspiration, and feedback to foster creativity and excellence in content production.
Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure social media strategies complement and amplify overall brand strategy and objectives.
Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve engagement, reach, and ROI.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging platforms, and technological advancements to keep the brand at the forefront of social media marketing.
Reporting & Regulations
Analyse content performance metrics and use data-driven insights to optimise content strategy and drive continuous improvement.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in content marketing, recommending innovative approaches to engage target audiences.
Stay up to date with TGA and industry regulations and ensure content is adhering to requirements.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Work with Leafio CRM team to optimise email marketing performance
Collaborate with Commercial Brand and Leafio teams to optimise B2B communications.
Collaborate with Montu Content teams where relevant to identity synergies across departments
Quality Control
Adhere to approvals processes on external communications to ensure they meet brand and regulatory standards
Iterate all work based on input to enhance quality and effectiveness
Ensure all outputs effectively convey the organisation's values and voice
Continuous Improvement, Safety and Compliance:
Continuously learn from successes and failures to refine and enhance improvement strategies.
Actively participate in training (including mandatory training) and professional development sessions to enhance skill set.
Observe, understand and comply with all Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Policies, Procedures and directives.
Be proactive and responsible for own actions, and adhere to compliance requirements relevant to your position (e.g. legislation, policy and guidelines).
Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

In addition to these foundations, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Proven experience in a healthcare content manager role, managing content strategy and teams
8+ years in content marketing, with a track record of developing and executing successful content strategies. B2B essential. Regulated industry preferred.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
Excellent understanding of content marketing strategies, SEO principles (in a gated environment), community management and social media platforms.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights and adjust content strategies based on performance metrics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with creative flare.
Deep understanding of content marketing principles, SEO best practices, and digital marketing trends.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), analytics tools, and project management software.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and drive results.
Passion for staying current with industry developments and continuously learning and evolving in the field of content marketing.
Exceptional attention to detail, committed to producing content designs aligned with brand standards
