Morgan Stanley is seeking an HR Manager to join the HR Employee Solutions Business Partner team. This function provides operational and advisory support to our Senior HRBPs, as well as to employees and managers across the Firm on a number of processes across the employee lifecycle. In addition, the function partners closely with HR product areas within the department to drive efficiencies and best practices in our HR processes.
The HR Business Partner will report into the Alpharetta HRBP team lead. Responsibilities include the following:
• Provide high quality advisory support to HR Business Partners as well as to managers and employees on both routine, cyclical and adhoc HR focus areas including but not limited to performance management, diversity and inclusion efforts, professional development, promotion and compensation.
• Partner with global and regional HR colleagues to support people initiatives.
• Provide day to day support for employees and managers on advisory HR matters in a timely and accurate way. Examples include coaching and supporting managers as it pertains to performance management and professional development, assisting with employee issues, providing career guidance and mobility support to employees, liaising with employee relations and employment law as required, assisting with immigration/relocation processes, supporting special projects and assisting with the annual year-end processes (performance evaluations, talent ranking, promotion, and compensation), etc.
• Ensure requests are tracked appropriately to completion; log information into systems and update information in a timely and accurate manner in order for team to track service inquiries, resolutions and provide metrics to stakeholders
• Project manage planned and ad-hoc activities for the HR Business Partner teams
• Liaise with HR Solutions teams and product areas to deliver HR services to senior HR Business Partners, managers and employees
• Proactively identify trends and suggest actions to reduce risk, provide proactive guidance to managers that will ultimately improve the employee experience
• Ensure that service delivery standards are consistently met or exceeded by the HRBP Advisory team by providing high quality support and guidance
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience
• Exceptional judgement; knows when to escalate
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to flex style based on situation and audience
• Strong relationship building skills and ability to engender trust quickly
• Strong understanding of the Human Resources function and labor laws
• Must be a team player who enjoys a high volume, fast paced and dynamic environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams and assignments
• Successful candidate will have a roll up your sleeves ?can do? mindset and be open to change
• Strong ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail while dealing with a heavy volume of workflow
• Results orientated and able to meet deadlines
• Exhibits ownership and accountability to ensure tasks are completed in a thorough and timely manner
• Effective problem solving skills with a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
• Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Power Point, Word, etc. Experience with HR systems and ability to pick up new systems quickly.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
