Utilities Billing Specialist

Our client, a well-known gas and electric utility provider, is actively hiring a Billing Specialist to join their team in Columbus, OH. This role will require onsite work for training and then will be remote!• This is a 7 month W2 contract with benefits!*As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the billing exception process memors are reviewed and accurate. You will also assist in taking any necessary actions to close memos by their due dates. This team is looking for someone who has experience with utility billing, ideally Gas.Responsibilities:• Take corrective action on deferred accounts to ensure completion within tariff timelines• Ensure accurate billing is issued to customers in all states• Explain adjustments to customers when needed• Perform adjustments and/or corrections of accounts with non-registering metersSkills:• High School Diploma or GED• Billing experience ideally within the Gas or Utilities Space• Knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and Lotus Notes is a plusMotion Recruitment Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
