👨‍💻 About the Role 

We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Data Systems Lead to be a part of our expanding team in Pakistan! As Data Systems Lead at Mous, you’ll play a crucial role as the backbone of our data management and systems operations. You’ll be a key member of the Data team, reporting directly to our Head of Data, Strategy & Marketplaces and managing our ERP Manager. Your role will be pivotal in overseeing and developing our data stack, taking full ownership of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Data Warehouse and the accurate flow of data between platforms.

This role will be a blend of System Management, Analytics Engineering and some Data Engineering. You’ll be crucial to ensuring the analytics team have easily accessible, clean data and a well-managed data architecture. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business, including Growth, Customer Experience, Logistics and Finance teams to bring in new data, troubleshoot system issues and create informative documentation and tutorials. This role requires a blend of information system familiarity, process mapping, integration knowledge, and collaborative skills to ensure optimal performance and utilisation of our data systems.

Please note that this role will be situated at our office in Lahore (Upper Mall), working on-site from Monday-Thursday, with Friday being an optional WFH day. The normal working hours will be 10am - 7pm PKT.

Your background is rooted in Information Systems Management, encompassing expertise in ERPs, OMSs, or Databases, ideally with strong experience in SQL. • ERP Management:
• Work with our ERP Manager to optimise our ERP system (Acumatica) for everyday operational needs and liaise with our external developers in troubleshooting and customising our system.
• Lead ERP enhancement & integration projects, focusing on practical improvements and efficiencies.

• Database Management:
• Set up, maintain, and optimise data sources – be able to implement fast solutions whilst always working towards best practices.
• Conduct and automate regular data accuracy checks.
• Maintain clear documentation of our schemas and tables.
• Manage communications with our Data Warehouse providers and integration partners to troubleshoot issues.

• Systems Integration and Analytics:
• Oversee the integration and management of various systems including PowerBI, Shopify, Amazon, Freshdesk etc.
• Ensure smooth data flow and integrity between different platforms.
• Develop structured process maps, simplifying data interpretation and use.
• Transform data sources into core analytics tables the business can rely on and trust.

• Inter-Departmental Support and Training:
• Be the go-to person for data system questions.
• Run regular training sessions to enhance team abilities in system usage and data handling.
• Work collaboratively with teams to identify and implement process improvements.

• 2-5 years of experience in a data or Information management role, with exposure to eCommerce or tech environments seen as a plus.
• A 2:1 degree or higher preferred, although not strictly required.
• Strong experience in managing data or information systems.
• Experience in SQL: Expertise in query writing, data extraction, and aggregation.
• Intermediate Excel Skills: Proficient in formulas, tables, and PowerQuery.
• Effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
• Project Management: Able to coordinate across teams and manage data improvement projects.
• Experience in ETL, APIs, or Data Engineering is ideal, but not a deal-breaker.
• Fluent in English both verbal and written communication.
