What You Will Do

The VP of Strategy is a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) reporting directly to the CEO supporting the executive leadership and functional teams as well as key business partners on various strategic and operational initiatives. This position will serve as a leading team member across a variety of project types including assessing progress of business strategies against OKRs, execution of those strategies, solving complex internal operational issues and coordinating among the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Responsibilities include performing and/or leading various special projects and analysis in support of growth initiatives and operational optimization across the company. This role requires onsite presence and does not have hybrid or remote ability.

  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to analyze issues and develop solutions to improve how we innovate, scale, build and deliver.
  • Uncover opportunities to drive results.
  • Support and help drive business analysis to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
  • Bring clarity of thought to effectively structure, communicate and ensure alignment on our strategies and plans.
  • Serve as an advisor to the leadership team to ensure progress in critical areas.
  • Analyze and understand critical content and market trends and provide thought leadership.
  • Create compelling presentations and other documents supported by strong qualitative and quantitative storytelling.
  • Manage a complex supply chain of information and processes among a broad array of executive stakeholders, including finance, research, strategy, business affairs, legal and the people team.
  • Build detailed models and business plans.
  • Perform various analysis by leveraging resources and insights gathered from a broad range of functional experts and data sources.
  • Deep inspection of the business, projects and how Moveworks is performing against internal OKRs.
  • Challenge the status quo and leadership team in a thought provoking way.
  • Lead and/or be a key participant in special projects and fill in the gaps wherever needed.
  • Establish structure to achieve scale and provide guidance and teachings on how to do so with the rest of the leadership team.

What You Bring To The Table

  • An excellent communicator who can make the complex simple. Someone comfortable presenting to all levels of executives and stakeholders.
  • A visionary strategist and scaler, adept at connecting the dots between vision,  the innovations and the infrastructure required to achieve it.
  • An agile leader with strong project management skills, able to operate at all levels and manage by influence. This role requires you to dive into the details while simultaneously leading transformative initiatives.
  • A creative thinker who is not confined to a traditional approach, willing to explore new and/or unconventional strategies if the impact or doing so is greater than “doing what has always been done”.
  • Someone excited about creating automated workflows and harnessing the power of analytics while also recognizing the importance of building a strong foundation and getting the basics right.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with change and ambiguity.
  • A data enthusiast who brings a very detail-oriented, yet adaptable approach to problem solving.
  • A lifelong learner who is eager to grow and innovate. 

Who You Are

  • 15+ years’ experience in management consulting, strategic planning and leading across the various domains.
  • High proficiency in communicating complex ideas and data sets.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Takes initiative and is a self-starter with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
  • A combination of experience in both high-growth and more established organizations.
  • Experience in both private and public company environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build capabilities in a fast-paced environment with evolving infrastructure.
  • Exceptional skills in prioritization, managing multiple projects, and fostering effective collaboration.
  • Expertise developing and delivering communications that help internal and external stakeholders understand our strategic direction, initiatives to achieve that strategic direction and progress against OKRs.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology or other relevant subject area.

Compensation Range: $335,000 - $430,000

*Our compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions or bonus plans. 
Ultimately, in determining pay, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, the role’s scope and complexity, the candidate’s experience and expertise, and other factors.
