Business Analyst III

Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Business Analyst III to work as a member of an Agile project team to comprehend, analyze, and synthesize complex technical information; create, track and ensure timely delivery of project documentation; analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement; build cross-team coalitions; and support change management activities. This includes working closely with our Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) clients to review requirements and policy documents for accuracy and improvement.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will facilitate customer-facing and internal deployment projects, bridging the gap between our software solutions and the unique needs of each client

  • This role involves a mix of business analysis and technical project management, including gathering requirements, overseeing product configuration, and delivering client training
  • This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in software development processes, project management, and client-facing deployment projects who can navigate both the technical and organizational needs of diverse stakeholders
  • Gather, document, and analyze requirements for software solution implementations
  • Oversee projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices
  • Lead client discussions to evaluate and document product requirements, workflows, and process improvements
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Engineers, Developers, and Quality Assurance Specialists to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Develop and manage project documentation, timelines, and budgets, and maintain communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvements and develop repeatable best practices for project deployment and management
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills when facing impediments.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: Self-Motivated and Self-Monitoring, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills, Exceptional Communication Skills, Ability to work seamlessly in a team environment or with autonomy, Strength in Multi-tasking and Organization.

  • Experience: 5+ years in business analysis and requirements gathering, ideally within software development or software implementation projects
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and technical project deployment
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving, expectation management, and client 

 

Education/Experience: This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 5+ years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comprehend, analyze, and synthesize complex technical information.

The following experience is desired:

  • Experience working in Agile Project Management Environments
  • Experience in projects involving direct client delivery
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Experience with Qlik and other data analytics software tools
  • Use of Atlassian Tool Suite, Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with Project Management principles associated with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); in particular Planning, Implementation, Testing, Documentation

 

Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a public trust clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
