This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.Job PurposeThis role will provide strategic input, insight and advice with respect to employee relations issues, coaching and development, performance management, conflict management, organizational change, and more. As a Sr. HR Specialist, you will play an instrumental role in driving people and business initiatives.The Sr. HR Specialist provides specific guidance to managers on issues related to underperformance of management employees. This role will work to continuously look at root causes to performance management issues at an employee-line manager level and seek to introduce improvements to the process helping to develop support tools.This role is also responsible for providing Employee Relations (ER) support to managers and Human Resources including administering employment policies and practices and researching and/or investigating team member concerns and making recommendations that effectively promote positive employee relations.Key Accountabilities• Establish strategic partnerships and support business units on employee relations concerns, performance management initiatives and change management• Advise and consult employees in the resolution of employee relations issues by partnering with employees and line managers, administering policies, and recommending effective solutions for addressing workplace issues• Investigate workplace concerns, provide timely and accurate responses to concerns, and determine appropriate solutions to ensure fairness, consistency and legal compliance• Act as a subject matter expert to provide coaching to management of all levels on addressing a variety of employee issues while effectively mitigating business and company risk• Participate in department specific and organizational strategic initiatives, partnering with cross-functional partners and driving scalable solutions• Support manager development and enablement by providing coaching and guidance on corrective action and documentation, performance management best practices and effective communication techniques• Analyze data to identify trends, provide insights and make recommendations to stakeholders, COEs and HRBPs to create or modify solutions, programs and policies to improve the employee experience• Partner with line managers to conduct involuntary terminations as neededQualifications• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience• Minimum of 5 years' work experience in an HRBP/ Employee Relations role• Ability to apply HR knowledge / experience across all HR policies, programs, processes, and functions• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and take ownership of work and projects• Experience in performance management and policy interpretation• Experience with employee relations, providing guidance to management and researching, investigating and responding to team member issues and concerns.• Strong HR analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers and HR colleagues at all levels of the organization• Knowledge of HR systems and data management• Ability to act with a high degree of integrity, professionalism and maintain confidentiality• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with impact• Ability to understand and provide guidance on HR compliance effortsMore Information#LI-MR1 #LI-HYBRIDSalary$94k - $111k a year in Waltham, MA.$84k - $99k a year in Albany, NY or Syracuse, NY.$101k - to $119k a year in Brooklyn, NY or Melville, NY.This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
