Quality Assurance TechnicianShifts Available: 3rd @ 10:30p - 6:30aPay: Starting at $18 per hour + --- $500 sign-on bonus --- 5% bonus for meeting quarterly goals --- Overtime and Other Incentives2nd + 3rd shift earn a shift premium - $1.25 per hour extra*As a Quality Assurance Technician, you are an essential team member responsible for monitoring all quality assurance/food safety activities and making recommendations and carries out corrections for improving quality departmental functions. You test and inspect products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. You enhance the department and the organization' reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Perform related duties and provides support to the Quality Assurance Management.• Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.• Performs tests at specified stages in the production process, and tests products for a variety of qualities such as temperature, defects, code dates, etc., records results, reviews records, and reports for accuracy and completion.• Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.• Completes special projects assigned, work with the project team; help to resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps.• Quality analysis of incoming dry goods for production. Verification of specifications before startup and throughout production processes. Problem solving on quality issues with production and other teams. Documentation of key metrics for data analysis. Maintenance of calibration and logs of all laboratory instruments. Preparation of laboratory equipment and solutions. Direct communication with operators and production personnel. General analysis and sampling of production samples. Collection of retention samples on shiftily basis.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following list that follows is representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:• Experience:• Previous experience in a QA or a similar role, often 1-3 years, depending on the complexity of the job.• Experience with specific types of testing (e.g., manual, automated, performance) relevant to the industry.• Technical Skills:• Proficiency in QA methodologies and tools, such as test management software (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and bug tracking systems.• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages if automation is a key part of the role (e.g., Python, Java).• Knowledge of Standards and Methodologies:• Understanding of quality standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).• Experience with industry-specific regulations or compliance requirements, if applicable.• Attention to Detail:• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects accurately.• Analytical Skills:• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and processes.• Communication Skills:• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, stakeholders, and documenting test results and issues.• Organizational Skills:• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively and to work independently or as part of a team.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCESix months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.The Good Stuff – BenefitsOur team members' physical and mental health is important to a thriving workplace.
