Job Description

NBCUniversal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. We develop, produce and market entertainment, news and information to a global market. Universal Pictures International is the international film division of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, operating across 80+ territories.

The UPI Finance team plays a key role in supporting the UPI Senior Management team. It oversees a complex, multinational network of owned operating companies, licensees and JV’s. The team will partner closely with other Head Office functions, all UPI operating companies (OpCos) and Regional teams, and corporate groups based in London and Amsterdam.

The UPI Finance team is committed to fostering development and engagement with all team members, and to supporting a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.

  • Drive controllership initiatives throughout UPI with thorough balance sheet reviews, key metric analysis and regular controllership communications
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with UPI OpCo Finance Directors and Controllers, ensuring controllership objectives are clearly defined, communicated and prioritized
  • Lead timely and accurate monthly/quarterly close and consolidation process in line with GAAP, including account reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and complete reporting of the UIP joint venture, including review of quarterly investment and annual pension valuation
  • Collaborate with FP&A in identifying risks and opportunities impacting the P&L and Cash Flow from balance sheets and working capital focus
  • Partner with the HQ Controllership Group, Tax, Legal, and IT teams to ensure all requirements are met and risks addressed on a timely, accurate and efficient basis
  • Key contributor in the S4 Hana implementation providing feedback on behalf of UPI and supporting the implementation across all OpCos
  • Ensure alignment to Comcast and NBCU global policies and priorities
  • Owner of Deloitte and Comcast internal audit relationships
  • Drive simplification, standardization and process improvement

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field such as economics

Eligibility Requirements:

Desired Characteristics:

  • Analytical mindset with expertise in leveraging financial data and other KPI’s to drive growth
  • Ability to work across multiple functions and drive change
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to present to Senior Executives
  • MBA and or CPA highly preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and prior experience managing a team
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • International experience and experience of a head-office environment working across multiple business units is desired

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $125,000.00 - $170,000.00 (Bonus eligible)
