NBC News Digital is looking for a talented producer to join its Digital Docs and Enterprise team. This new role will report to a Senior Producer and will create innovative, mid-form and long-form, in-depth news stories for NBC News. We’re looking for a strong editorial producer who sees the digital doc, video forensics, and long-form narrative opportunities in a hard news cycle. They should have a knack for knowing how to report and tell stories that will breakout and resonate well beyond a fast-moving news cycle and know how to distill editorial complexity into the video medium.
This role requires experience in reporting, pre-production, shooting, field producing, scripting, putting together radio cuts, overseeing and collaborating with video editors, working with the motion graphics team, and fact-checking your video pieces. Additionally, the producer will collaborate with correspondents, reporters, and editors throughout the organization, so should be well-versed in how to do so effectively. The candidate should have strong news instincts, a proven track record of success producing original reporting, impeccable editorial judgment, and creativity in their video pieces.This is an exciting opportunity to work with an iconic media brand and flex creativity as we create docu-style content which airs on many of our platforms including NBCNews.com, Peacock, and NBC News NOW.
