Requirements and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Architect with expertise in Snowflake and Databricks to lead the technical and architectural aspects of our FlowObjects Auditing & Monitoring 2.0 project. The architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the design and integration of the application, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across our Snowflake environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that enhance data governance, access control, and cost optimization.
What you'll do
- Architectural Leadership: Lead the architecture design for FlowObjects Auditing & Monitoring 2.0, focusing on Snowflake Native App and Databricks integration.
- Solution Design: Develop scalable, high-performance solutions, ensuring proper metadata management, data access, and storage optimization.
- Governance & Security: Design solutions that adhere to security standards and best practices for access control and data governance, particularly focusing on RBAC and DAC.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, engineers, and data analysts to ensure project goals align with architectural plans.
- Optimization: Identify opportunities for system optimization related to performance and cost.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams to ensure high standards of design and implementation.
- Continuous Monitoring: Oversee ongoing system performance, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to best practices in data pipeline management.
What you'll bring
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in architecture design with at least 3 years focusing on Snowflake and Databricks.
- Skills: Strong expertise in Snowflake Native App development, Databricks, AI and machine learning integration.
- Data Expertise: Proficiency in data warehousing, data pipelines, and metadata management.
- Security Expertise: Proven experience in implementing and optimizing RBAC and DAC models.
- Cloud Experience: Experience working with cloud-native services and cloud cost management.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead architectural decision-making and collaborate with multiple teams.
Other preferred Skills:
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Familiarity with AI-driven insights for performance optimization and anomaly detection.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and executive teams.
