Requirements and responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Execution: 
    • Collaborate with the QA team to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
    • Create and execute test cases for functional, regression, and performance testing.
    • Utilize both manual and automated testing techniques.
    • Document and report test results accurately and clearly.
  • Defect Management: 
    • Identify, document, and track software defects throughout the development cycle.
    • Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
    • Verify and validate fixes before release to production.
  • Process Improvement: 
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.
    • Research and recommend new testing tools and technologies.
    • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers.
  • Mentorship: 
    • Provide guidance and support to junior QA team members
    • Share knowledge and expertise to help the team grow and develop
  • Communication and Collaboration: 
    • Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, all SCRUM team members and other stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on testing progress and issues.
    • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
  • Education: 
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 
    • 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related role.
    • Experience with testing financial software applications is a plus.
  • Skills and Knowledge: 
    • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
    • Experience with test case design and execution.
    • Familiarity with SQL for querying databases and analyzing data.
    • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and test management tools.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Desired Skills (Not Required):
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Leapwork).
  • Knowledge of private markets or financial industry terminology and processes.
  • Experience testing Appian applications
