Solutions Engineer

NetBox Labs is looking for a Solutions Engineer with 3+ years of direct, enterprise SE experience or 5+ years of total experience to play a critical role in acquiring and growing new customers.  Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will drive the technical aspects of our Enterprise sales cycle and will serve as a trusted advisor and product advocate for the company’s offerings.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to design and implement account specific strategies, qualify prospects for technical fit, and improve win rates.

  • Champion the technical positioning of NetBox Labs products during customer engagements, educate customers and prospects on NetBox Labs solutions, and run technical product demonstrations and proofs of concept.

  • Analyze and understand customer and prospect technical environments, use cases, requirements, and challenges. 

  • Translate technical aspects of an environment and product solution into “big picture” value statements and “technical win” strategy in conjunction with Sales.

  • Design, set success criteria, and run playbooks and proofs of concept to drive the technical win with prospects.

  • Continually act as a liaison and voice of the customer among product development, marketing, sales, and delivery teams and provide thoughtful customer technical feedback to the product team. 

  • Stay up to speed on new product features, complementary tools, and competitor solutions.

  • Assist customer success and product teams with post-sales troubleshooting and account expansion as needed.

You will work closely with:

  • Account Executives and other Solutions Engineers.

  • The Product and Engineering organizations.

  • The Customer Success and Support organizations.

  • The Product Marketing function to develop content that drives interest and expertise in NetBox and our other products.

  • The Chief Revenue Officer to drive the technical sales strategy focused on delivery of successful sales outcomes and engaged customers.

It would be fantastic if you have the following background:

  • 1+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS or Open Source SaaS offerings to Network Engineering teams, Network Management teams, or other technical Enterprise buyers. 

  • 2+ years of experience working in a fast paced startup environment.

  • Ability to discuss and explain complicated technical topics in a clear and easy to understand manner.

  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex, technical enterprise products built on open source technology. 

  • Good project management skills, follow up, attention to detail, particularly with regard to running the technical aspects of a complex, enterprise sales engagement.

  • Self Starter, and finisher; ability to work independently, take ownership, and move rapidly toward successful conclusion of enterprise deals. 

  • Drive and competitiveness, underlined by a strong desire to win.

  • Strong presentation, written,  and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience coding in Python or related languages and using cloud APIs is a big plus.
