We are looking for a Senior Manager, Data Science to lead our data science space across Games DSE. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for driving data science initiatives Game Studio and Game Product/Platform. This role will be partnering closely with our Game studio and Game Product stakeholders and play a highly strategic role to shape and define the future of games at Netflix.What You Will Do:• Lead the Data Science team for Games, owning the holistic strategy for how data science is used to build, buy, discover, and operate games at Netflix.• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Game Studio to inform, influence, support, and execute games product and studio strategy and decisions.• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists, driving a vision for how data science can empower Netflix’s games strategy.• Lead a highly technical team that drives the end-to-end causal inference, experimentation, metrics, and data science initiatives for games.• Build and foster a high-performing team that thrives on creativity, data-driven thinking, and innovation. Continuously recruit, develop, and retain top talent to deliver on the vision for Netflix Games.Who You Are:• Experienced people leader with at least ~5 years of leadership experience and 2+ years of experience managing managers. You have demonstrated the ability to grow and retain high-performing data scientists.• Credible in data science – You are seen as a credible leader by data scientists and have led a data science team in the past.• A strategic thinker with the ability to influence and drive change across organizational boundaries through clear, impactful communication of data-driven insights and analyses. Product experience is a plus.• Fast learner, comfortable working within ambiguity.• You have exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing both technical and non-technical audiences.• Proven track record translating data science into business impact.• A passion for games and their potential to redefine entertainment.Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $480,000 - $1,200,000Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
