Sales Director - Professional Residential

The Sales Director - Professional Residential, will be responsible for developing and executing our comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy for the Custom Installer market. Heavily aligned with NETGEAR’ s strategic objectives in the residential space, this leader will transform our approach to allow for growth within this market. This role will be remote-based, with occasional travel.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Align with Product Management to assure Product / Market fit 

  • Assessment of key product developments  

  • Potential acquisition targets 

  • Pricing and profitability 

  • Alignment with Channel Chief for inclusion in Partner Program 

  • Creation of content and enablement materials 

  • Promotions 

Establish a network of partners for our Routes to Market 

  • Distributors 

  • Complementary manufacturers (control platforms, AV distribution, etc.) 

  • Builders 

  • Specific Service Providers 

  • Assure sufficient value exchange with Partners 

Develop a one-to-many engagements approach to the Custom Installers   

  • Direct marketing to drive NETGEAR preference  

  • Training sessions and roadshows 

  • CEDIA and other trade shows 

  • Dealer reward program to drive loyalty and volume 

  • Potential use of Rep firms 

Establish industry partnerships to further growth 

  • AV manufacturers 

  • Buying Groups 

  • Powerhouse Alliance 

  • Next Generation Partner Management: Sponsor innovative partner management techniques  

  • Partner Advocacy: Establish and lead a Partner Advisory Council to foster partner advocacy  

  • Company spokesperson for the Professional Residential market 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in sales and/or business development within the professional residential market in a related industry. 

  • Bachelor’s degree. 

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and partner ecosystems.  

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.  

  • Proven ability to drive alignment between sales activities and company objectives.  

  • Recognized as a Next Generation Seller. 

  • Experience in selling network or AV over IP technologies is a plus.
