SUMMARY
HQ AMC/A6’s mission is to provide integrated Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Information (C4I) systems and manage strategic C4I resources in support of AMC’s global air mobility mission. HQ AMC/A6 requires technical and support task services that enable the readiness state of the systems, infrastructure, and services that satisfy the HQ AMC/A6 mission for the for the Mobility Air Force (MAF) C2 Business Systems, projects, applications, and infrastructures. These services in total are referred to as Applications, Infrastructure and Systems Support (AISS). AISS is AMC’s answer to meeting these IT challenges by leveraging hardware, software, services, and support resource consolidation.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs, configure, and manage network infrastructure devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Loadbalancers, etc). Troubleshoot network outages. Assist with environment configuration and testing new products. Manage test and production environments. Assist with tech support for help desk personnel.
• Establishes network specifications by consulting with users; analyzing workflow, access control, information, and security requirements; router security administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Maintains and ensures network performance by performing monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems where appropriate and ensuring quality of service across enclave.
• Ensures network security by developing network access controls, continuous monitoring, control, and evaluation techniques; maintaining documentation.
• Understands technical and support tasks required to enable the readiness state of systems, infrastructure, and services as well as propose ways to mitigate risk associated with changes to the systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications

• DoD IAT Level II Certification.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree with in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Management Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 9 years, must include experience in network operations, enclave optimization, customer service, and troubleshooting techniques.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills

• Networking infrastructure: CISCO switches/routers, F5 Load Balancers, Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, WAN and LAN Configuration, DHCP.

Experience administering AMC’s C2 and Business systems:

• Air Carrier Analysis System (ACAS)
• Advanced Computer Flight Plan (ACFP)

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions

• Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Strength Demands

• Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
