The Dell Security & Resiliency organization manages the security risk across all aspects of Dell’s business. Join us as a Network Security Engineer on our Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations team to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact. This position is a remote role open to candidates located in the following areas: Round Rock/Austin, Raleigh/Durham or Hopkinton/Boston. This is a remote role but there are occasions where it would be helpful to come into one of our main offices/labs.

What you’ll achieve

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining & managing network security infrastructures. You will work with our internal customers and partners to provide support related to security devices.

You will:

• Work on Management and Incident Management issues and will manage overall network security infrastructure Operations
• Provide on-call technical support (L2 / L3) for Cyber managed infrastructure & products, including firewalls, proxies, and remote access gateways
• Deploy, maintain & manage network security infrastructures
• Participate in security projects, customer engagements or business processes

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a technical support (L2/L3) role for cyber managed infrastructure & products (firewalls, proxies and remote access gateways), preferably for a large enterprise organization
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SSL and firewalls e.g. Palo Alto, SonicWall
• Knowledge of proxy technologies e.g. McAfee Skyhigh, Web Gateway and/or PAC with experience writing scripts to modify proxy settings
• Exceptional verbal and communication skills

Desirable Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Industry certifications relevant to the role such as: CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, ACE, PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE, CISSP etc.
