Network Software Development Engineer

You will be working on design, development and integration of the network stack of our wireless communication systems. You should be passionate and excited to learn continuously and collaborate with other team members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Packet path design and bring-up for point-to-multipoint wireless access systems
• Designing and implementing various network services for point-to-multipoint wireless access systems
• Designing services with considerations for scalability, decentralized management, resilience, failover and interoperability with customer networks.
• Building support for network fault diagnostics, event logging, statistics collection and fault isolation/analysis

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical/Computer-Science/Computer-Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in embedded software development for carrier and/or enterprise products
• n-depth understanding of layer2, layer3, layer4 packet processing
• Understanding of traffic management, packet classification, deep packet buffering
• Strong data-path debugging skills
• Strong C/C++ programming experience
• Deep understanding of UNIX-style operating systems (IPC, multi-threading)
• Control-plane (network protocols) and management plane experience highly desired
• Experience with designing and bring up of FPGA/ASIC/Network-Processor based packet-path is a plus
